Wanted to share some images from a fun shoot I did at the American Music Awards gifting lounge. My rough job assignment was to hang out with celebs at the Sauza Tequila bar and capture the fun. Sometimes I can’t believe I actually get paid for this kind of stuff.
So the AMA took place at the Nokia Theatre where there were plenty of mighty fine musicians as well as actors from movies and such shows as Glee. There were many delicious sparkling margaritas to be had too–for free even. My fave I highly recommend is the Wild Berry. Did you know the average celeb, a B- or even C-list, is given over $100K in free stuff annually? Not bad, huh?

This copycat recipe for Applebees Chicken Wonton Tacos has zesty stir fried chicken stuffed in crispy wonton shells and topped with crunchy slaw and cilantro.
These are just like the chicken wonton taco’s from Applebee’s appetizer menu. These tacos consist of stir fried chicken, coleslaw, red onion, green onion, and cilantro. The best part about these tacos is the chicken.
The chicken is marinated and stir fried in a teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, stir fry sauce, and sesame dressing mixture. This combination goes together extremely well. The coleslaw is tossed with additional sesame dressing.
The hardest part about this recipe is cooking the wonton wrappers. It can be a little tricky and it is something you will want to do last. Watch our easy how-to videos to get some tips on making the wonton wrappers a couple of different ways.

The Adam Carolla Show is the top ranked comedy podcast and Guinness World Records holder for the most downloaded podcast ever. Adam shares his thoughts on current events, interviews celebrities and rants about whatever’s bugging him today. Which is usually plenty.
The Adam Carolla Show is one of the podcasts I’ve listened to for years, although I usually only listen when he interviews a comedian or celeb I enjoy. He can be a ranting handful and an annoyance to my more pc correct friends, but he’s usually entertaining and quite funny when his rant-machine is racing and firing on all cylinders.
I recommend trying any of his podcast episodes that contain any of these recurring guests: Larry Miller, David Alan Grier, Dana Gould, Greg Fitzsimmons. You can read my post about Gould’s podcast here.

As a longtime fan of Adam Carolla’s, I was both relieved and excited in February of 2009 when the comedian announced he would launch a podcast.
Relieved because, like many, I enjoyed the comedian’s hilarious rants about pretty much everything under the sun, and the recent cancellation of his syndicated radio show meant that I wouldn’t be hearing him on air anytime soon.
Excited because I thought it could mean something big for the podcast market. After all, while podcasts had grown steadily since the term was coined in 2004, they hadn’t quite fulfilled their early hype for a variety of reasons, and I thought Carolla’s entry could possibly bring more listeners to the medium.

About the Grandmothers Of The Disappeared
When Argentina’s military overthrew Peron’s government, they abducted any suspected opponents, and hundreds of children were either kidnapped along with their parents or born in captivity. Early in the reign of terror, a human rights organization called the “Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo” was founded.
These grandmothers kept a vigil in the plaza across from the military offices, picketing for the return of their children and grandchildren. Their natural dignity made them a powerful symbol of resistance. But they were more than that–they were a fully operational intelligence organization, gathering an enormous amount of evidence about the fate of the disappeared.
The Story
The geneticist is Nancy, about 35, attractive, affable and idealistic. And when she sets her sights on a worthy goal, she puts her very heart and soul and endless supply of vitality into achieving it. She’s a well respected researcher and professor at UC Berkeley.
In 1976 Nancy and her husband, who’s an ecologist, leave to teach science at a college in Argentina. It’s part of a prestigious exchange program. Nancy thoroughly enjoys the experience, finds the eagerness of the Argentine students very rewarding, is enthralled with the culture and its earthy people and makes many friends.
Then in the spring of 1977, the serenity of the campus is suddenly shattered. We see images of violence and mayhem, as the military attacks the college and the city. They overthrow Peron’s government and go on a rampage of kidnapping, torture and murder that eventually leaves 12,000 people dead. (more…)

The Story

GREASE MONKEYS, loosely based on a true story, is a heartwarming tale imbibed with guiding life lessons. Through their teacher and a great aunt, the two high school seniors, Mandy and Stacy, learn wisdom and insight that will mold and shape them to grow and become accomplished women. And through their own good example, the girls become a source of inspiration for fellow teens, who are shown how hard work, perseverance and a belief in yourself can make ones dreams a reality.
Although Mandy and Stacy’s efforts are focused on driving through the auto obstacles, they must also must deal with lives outside of school. Challenges stemming from an abusive home life and the recent death of a parent. Along with the usual teen problems such as trying to fit in with the cool crowd and unraveling the mysteries of to-die-for romance.
This uplifting story will capture young adults who’ll find themselves rooting for and learning from identifiable peers who aren’t exceptional–only their desire is. But teenagers of all ages won’t be able to resist becoming caught up and compelled by the universal appeal of this real-life underdog story that is all heart. (more…)

wikiHow is a collaborative effort by knowledge philanthropists who have created the world’s most helpful how-to guides. A goldmine of easily understood articles and videos for free.
I stumbled onto this site because I had a craving for a baked potato but didn’t have the time to make it. I had always baked my baked potatoes but never used the quicker microwave method. I googled my dilemma and wikHow appeared.
A quick, concise article and five video clips showed me how to be an expert at nuking the spuds in a flash. And it tasted quite delicious–rubbing olive oil into the skin was a stupendous suggestion. While I ate, I went back to the site and marveled at the treasure trove of how-to guides contained there. I highly recommend checking out wikiHow and I’ll let the knowledge philanthropists tell ya all about the place…
