The Wolf of Wall Street is a 2013 black comedy directed by Martin Scorsese, based on Jordan Belfort’s memoir of the same name, and the script was written by Terence Winter.

The Wolf of Wall Street movie script, photos, video, production notes, cast, screenwriter - movie poster TRevered filmmaker Martin Scorsese directs the story of New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio). From the American dream to corporate greed, Belfort goes from penny stocks and righteousness to IPOs and a life of corruption in the late 80s. Excess success and affluence in his early twenties as founder of the brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont warranted Belfort the title – “The Wolf of Wall Street.” Money. Power. Women. Drugs. Temptations were for the taking and the threat of authority was irrelevant. For Jordan and his wolf pack, modesty was quickly deemed overrated and more was never enough.

ABOUT THE DESCENDANTS PRODUCTION

The house used as Matt King’s house had one major flaw in that it lacked the banyan tree described in the book; the filmmakers solved the issue by transplanting a banyan. For the scene where the King family drives up to a ridge to look over their beautiful land, the film used a 3,000-acre private cattle ranch on the south shore of Kauai, Kipu Ranch. Kaui Hart Hemmings, the author of the novel on which the movie was based, had a cameo as Matt King’s secretary.

Post-production began on June 14, and continued into February 2011.It screened at the Telluride, Toronto and New York film festivals and was originally scheduled to have a limited release on December 16, 2011, but was moved to November 23, 2011[9] and then November 18, 2011.

The soundtrack uses Hawaiian music, featuring artists including Gabby Pahinui, Ray Kane, Keola Beamer, Lena Machado, Sonny Chillingworth, Jeff Peterson, and Reverend Dennis Kamakahi.

Christopher Nolan was initially hesitant about returning to the series for a second time, but agreed to come back after developing a story with his brother and Goyer that he felt would conclude the series on a satisfactory note.[4] Nolan drew inspiration from Bane’s comic book debut in the 1993 Knightfall storyline, the 1986 series The Dark Knight Returns, and the 1999 storyline No Man’s Land.[5][6] Filming took place in various locations, including Jodhpur, London, Nottingham, Glasgow, Los Angeles, New York City, Newark, and Pittsburgh.

Movies | The Hangover – the script and intriguing tales about the production, director, writer, cast

Share

Did you know the Hangover screenplay was based on a true story? It indeed was and I found that reading this fun script helped uncover amusing dialogue that was drowned out by laughter during the screening.

The Hangover is a 2009 American comedy film, co-produced and directed by Todd Phillips and written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. The film stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Heather Graham, Justin Bartha and Jeffrey Tambor. The Hangover tells the story of Phil Wenneck, Stu Price and Alan Garner, who travel to Las Vegas, Nevada for a bachelor party to celebrate their friend Doug Billings’ impending marriage. However, Phil, Stu and Alan have no memory of the previous night’s events and must find Doug before the wedding can occur.

The Hangover movie trailer

Lucas and Moore wrote the script after executive producer Chris Bender’s friend disappeared and had a large bill after being sent to a strip club. After Lucas and Moore sold it to the studio for $2 million, Philips and Jeremy Garelick rewrote the script to  include a tiger as well as a subplot involving a baby and a police cruiser, and also including boxer Mike Tyson. Filming took place in Nevada for 15 days, and during filming, the three main actors (Cooper, Helms and Galifianakis) formed a friendship.

The Hangover was released on June 5, 2009, becoming a critical and commercial success. It became the tenth-highest-grossing film of 2009, with a worldwide gross of over US$467 million. Critics praised the film’s comedic approach but criticized it for its vulgarity. The film won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, and received multiple other accolades. A sequel, The Hangover Part II, was released in 2011.

Writing

The plot of The Hangover was inspired by a real event that happened to Tripp Vinson, a producer and friend of executive producer Chris Bender. Vinson had gone missing from his own Las Vegas bachelor party, blacking out and waking up “in a strip club being threatened with a very, very large bill [he] was supposed to pay”.

Jon Lucas and Scott Moore sold the original script of The Hangover to Warner Bros. for over $2 million. The story was about three friends who lose the groom at his Las Vegas bachelor party and then must retrace their steps to figure out what happened. It was then rewritten by Jeremy Garelick and director Todd Phillips, who added additional elements such as Mike Tyson and his tiger, the baby, and the police cruiser. Scripts | Inside The Game – family trapped in fairy tale computer game

Share

After being sucked inside a kid’s computer game, a family can only return home if they win the game–which entails outwitting classic fairy tale characters, fighting killer beasts, and the wicked fairy they’re playing against–all before the laptop’s battery dies and they perish along with it. A fairy tale mashup.

Inside The Game script

Inside The Game script pdf download

INSIDE THE GAME takes place in a computer game called Fairy Tale Land and is a comedic adventure fantasy infused with magic, heart and damn scary thrills. What, you don’t think fairy tales are scary? They’re sissy baby stuff?

Hah! Let’s see if you make it out alive when you’re trapped in a small cottage with three hungry and very pissed off bears who want to rip you a new one for eating their porridge and busting up their fine furniture. Oh, and you’re also trapped in a ludicrous too tight dress with Goldilocks’ curls fused to your skull. This is the family’s first game challenge in the deep dark scary forest and dad bravely, kinda, faces it.

And it only gets worse. Much worse. Can you say man-eating ogre and fire breathing dragon?

But that ain’t all. Besides the bizarre killer creatures trying to annihilate them, the poor family must also play against their opponent, Vileena, the most wicked, disgusting and vile fairy in the history of history. Hell, she would send Darth Vader screaming into the night.

But it isn’t all brave heroic feats of derring-do you have to do. Nope. You gotta have brains and be clever with ‘em. Besides the role playing tasks, you score points in this wacked out game by outwitting and out guessing what the eccentric fairy tale characters are going to do before they do it. Or you have to figure out what objects they’re going to want to trade for. There’s no money involved, just crazy trades, favors and plots.

Perhaps the Three Little Pigs demand something in Little Red Riding Hood’s cottage. This, of course, means dealing with that killer Wolf. There’s actually a logic to everything, but it’s a twisted kaleidoscopic logic that’s a challenge to decipher and changes from one fairy tale to another and in different sections of Fairy Tale Land and I’m getting a headache just thinking about it. Let’s just say it ain’t predictable and it’ll twist your brain with a corkscrew and keep you guessing and on your toes. Continue reading »
